When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself, when you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world” – Eckhart Tolle
How do you weather the storms in your life? Do you have the resilience to stand firm, remain calm and adapt . . . or . . . do you resist, crack and break into pieces?
Imagine you have had an immensely stressful day and that night you can’t sleep. Perhaps you turn to comfort food to console yourself or reach for an extra drink to unwind. How do you feel the next day? Tired, overwhelmed and unable to focus. What if there was another way?
I offer relaxation and daily awareness courses providing life skills, which with regular practice, will enable you to manage your busyness and respond to life’s challenges from a place of calm.
You will learn the Art of Finding Stillness and Calm approach, developed by Buddhist monk Ven. Lama Ngedon Drime, who has been teaching various meditation techniques and workshops since 1969. His approach combines the methods of Buddhist Breathing Awareness meditation, Yoga Nidra, Movement Awareness and Deep Awareness practices, in a way that will enable you to develop control of your mind and body.
Benefits
Some of the benefits to be gained through daily practice of the Art of finding Stillness and Calm approach are as follows:
- Emotional and physical relaxation
- Clarity of mind in all daily activities
- Improved concentration
- Improved decision making and problem solving
- Improved sleep
- Reduced blood pressure
- A sense of being in control
- Slowing down of the ageing process
- A feeling of general well-being
Anyone can practice this relaxation approach, regardless of their background, experience or beliefs. All techniques are done either sitting in a chair or standing up, so there are no difficult postures to worry about or specific clothing to wear, so long as it is comfortable.
