You may be surprised to learn that my journey began in journalism followed by 10 years in public relations and marketing. Twenty-eight years ago, I found myself at a crossroads. I was juggling a demanding job involving long hours, while trying to maintain a marriage, a young son, and elderly parents whose health was failing.

I knew I was on the wrong path yet had no idea where my true path lay. I left the corporate world and began looking for an alternative career – one that I would enjoy and have sufficient flexibility for me to be there for my son once he started school.

I had long had an interest in health and wellbeing and a desire to inspire and empower others. A chance conversation led to a 25-year career in Complementary Health. Over the years people came to me for many reasons:

  • Stress or anxiety that was affecting their health, relationships, and experience of life.
  • Going through a major life event and needed support to ride the storm.

I was already drawn to exploring the mind-body connection and was curious to find out more. I found myself asking insightful questions, raising my client’s awareness of the assumptions, beliefs and habits that were causing them to feel frustrated, exhausted, and unfulfilled.

I noticed that when people changed their outlook on life, their lives changed for the better.

I didn’t know it at the time, but coaching was calling me.

In 2010 another crossroads presented itself. My marriage wasn’t working for me, I was working long hours to gain the financial independence I believed was necessary to break free. My life was out of balance … I was burned out. It took a motorcycle accident to wake me up and re-evaluate my life.

This is when the seeds for the vision for my future were sown. Eighteen months later I left my marriage and set sail leaving my home of 21 years behind me. I was in uncharted waters.

I bought a house and began to rebuild my life. My vision for the future included living in a cottage overlooking the sea.  My new house needed extensive refurbishment so I chose a Shaker style kitchen. I began looking for a picture of a coastal scene to hang above the kitchen sink as a reminder of what I was working toward.

Three years later I was in John Lewis and saw a picture of a coastal scene that had a profound physical effect on me. My heart raced, I had a lump in my throat, and tears welled up in my eyes. I realised I’d become disconnected from my vision and lost my way again. I now know the picture is of Whitesand Bay in Pembrokeshire.

Within in a month of hanging it up in my kitchen life offered me a new path when I received an invitation to join the Medicine Wheel. I felt an inexplicable tug at my heart and tears welled up, so I answered the call  to follow the Way of the Shaman with Spirit of the Inca.

This journey enabled me to align with my purpose and I later enrolled as a student with the Coaching Academy.

I was fired up and ready to go. Then the universe sent me another curveball. My son experienced an acute psychotic episode due to anxiety and was sectioned. Once again, I was in uncharted waters.

The past seven years have been an emotional rollercoaster, a choppy voyage of self-discovery for both me and my son, with an ever-present urge to follow my true path.

In 2024 I took a leap of faith. I sold my house, decluttered 80% of my belongings, and based myself in Pembrokeshire . My next step is to take off on a road-trip in a motorhome in the Spring.

For the first time in my life I’m getting out of my own way, tuning in and letting my soul be my pilot. I’ve found my wings and have taken flight.

I live to help others navigate their crossroads by inspiring and empowering them to tune into and trust their inner guidance system, and therefore, to trust their souls. This enables them to move forward with clarity, ease and grace.

I’m blessed and grateful for the opportunity to facilitate positive change in so many lives, in so many ways.
